Kingpin A-Series

The Kingpin is an electronic fuelling controller that replaces the boost compensator assembly on the Bosch VE (and other licenced VE pumps).

Compatibility:

The A-Series unit is bolted directly onto the injection pump and connects to the original boost pipe and draws power via a fused lead directly from the injection pump solenoid.

The A-Series is an All-In-One product and requires adequate clearance above the unit. The dimensions are attached.
Depending on pump position, the A-series may fit the 6BT out the box, in some cases the pin would need to be rotated 180 Degrees, contact us for details.

Features & Functions

The Kingpin absorbs the original functional settings of the Boost pin, Star wheel and Diaphragm and provides 3 customisable fuelling maps that you can change as required to suit your needs.

The interface provides 2 methods of fuelling adjustment:

1.      Select a specific fuelling percentage for each boost pressure point from 0 to 2 Bar

2.      Use the EZ-Fuelling function to dynamically adjust fuelling, while driving, to the specific boost point at that moment

The interface also provides for the entry of an EGT Limit (When an EGT probe is fitted - Purchased separately). The controller will use this EGT value to automatically reduce fuelling at a varying rate dependent on the rate of EGT increase such that it prevents exceeding the EGT limit, and /or automatically de-tune the fuel curve in the case of repeated EGT limit hits, thus preserving the integrity of the engine.

The R-Series Remote Mount unit is in development and will be suitable for low profile installations such as Toyota and Nissan engines among others.

The unit is protected to IP64 which is dust proof and splash proof, it should not be washed directly with a high pressure washer or submerged.
